The DoD enterprise will work with Components to determine if software define storage (SDS) is in use. DoD Components develop policy and standards based on industry best practices, and evaluate current data storage strategy and technology for implementation of SDS.Components assess their existing data storage strategies and technologies to determine the suitability for implementing SDS. If deemed appropriate, the identified storage technologies are considered for SDS implementation.
