>Control Description
For the purposes of subsection (17), “security incident” means an occurrence that actually or imminently jeopardizes the confidentiality, integrity, or availability of the business’s information system or the personal information the system processes, stores, or transmits, or that constitutes a violation or imminent threat of violation of the business’s cybersecurity program; unauthorized access, destruction, use, modification, or disclosure of personal information; or unauthorized activity resulting in the loss of availability of personal information is a security incident.
